Our Story
Changing Tides Family Services is a nonprofit committed to connecting families of all kinds to the resources and services they need to thrive. Serving all of Humboldt County, we are a dynamic family resource agency offering an array of programs and services that support families, individuals, child care providers, and the community.
Established in 1975, our organization began with its roots in workforce development, creating and supporting child care opportunities for working families. Fifty years later, we’ve expanded to a staff of over 150, offering a wide range of child care, behavioral health, disability, and community services.
Each of our programs is guided by our commitment to empowering families and individuals in ways that create a positive ripple effect throughout Humboldt County.
